CHERRY HILL, NJ – May 21, 2009 – Cherry Hill-based Professional Podcasts LLC, an award winning producer of broadcast-quality radio and TV content distributed over the Internet, is closing the gap in television coverage of community and corporate activities by offering an affordable and cost-effective video news “wrapper” service for clients.

The company, which has been producing corporate video and audio podcasts for nearly five years, has launched its video news “wrapper” service to meet the needs of organizations unable to achieve broadcast television coverage of their activities and events. “Wrapper” is broadcast industry slang for a report that uses a correspondent’s narration to “wrap” interviews and video clips of an event into a coherent story.

“The broadcast television industry has downsized the ability of local TV news departments to cover community and corporate events,” said Steve Lubetkin, managing partner of Professional Podcasts. “Public relations agencies and in-house corporate communicators have expressed increasing frustration over the inability of TV stations to send a crew to cover their events, and indeed, the stations often don’t have the staff resources even if they do want to cover these events. Many firms have also expressed interest in our video podcast services, but are not able to commit to full service podcasting coverage packages. Our news wrapper product allows organizations to satisfy their audience’s need for video coverage at an affordable price, and we can offer global distribution at an economic price point.”

In the new service, Professional Podcasts will cover an organization’s event, shooting interviews and “b-roll” illustrative footage for up to two hours, with an on-camera correspondent describing the event.

The firm will weave together a video report of up to five minutes, including broadcast tools such as motion graphics, special effects, “lower thirds” titling to identify participants, and music if requested. The service also includes posting by Professional Podcasts to video distribution sites on the Internet that will offer the content to a worldwide audience. Pricing for the service starts at $2,000 for the basic package.

Recent video wrappers produced by Professional Podcasts include “Family Continues Search and Rescue Effort for NJ Man, Joe Dunsavage,” (http://professionalpodcasts.blip.tv/file/2130290/); “Walmart East Windsor NJ Store Hosts Boys & Girls Club Shopping Spree,” (http://professionalpodcasts.blip.tv/file/2086945/); and “Walmart Gives Atlantic City Boys & Girls Club Members a Holiday Shopping Spree,”

CHERRY HILL, NJ – May 20, 2009 – Cherry Hill-based Take This Journey LLC and Professional Podcasts LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lubetkin Communications, have collaborated to produce their second video project together, this one depicting the services provided by Samost Jewish Family & Children’s Service, a constituent agency of the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey. The video uses interviews with agency clients to illustrate the broader definition of “family” that guides the agency’s response to community members in crisis or needing support services.

Lori Braunstein, principal of Take This Journey, produced the video. Steve Lubetkin, managing partner of Professional Podcasts, wrote the script and recorded voice-over narrations and the musical scoring used in the production.

“Samost Jewish Family and Children's Service needed a new video to tell the story of the many services we provide to our community such as counseling, support, and crisis services,” said Sherry Wolkoff, JFCS Communications Coordinator. “We premiered the video produced by Take This Journey and Professional Podcasts at our annual meeting on May 6, 2009, and its touching, inspiring and heartwarming depiction of all that we do truly captured the essence of JFCS.”

The video will be available to visitors to the JFCS website at www.jfcssnj.org and JFCS’s Facebook page at http://is.gd/zKrl . The video also can be viewed on the Professional Podcasts website, http://www.professionalpodcasts.com/, and on the firm’s video channel at http://professionalpodcasts.blip.tv/file/2054956.

“This is our second successful collaboration with Professional Podcasts on a documentary video for the South Jersey Jewish community,” noted Braunstein. “Both firms are able to draw on strong skills in videography, documentary story-telling, and production that let us deliver high-quality productions to our clients.”

“We were pleased to work with Take This Journey on this important video documentary project,” said Lubetkin. “Documentary videos like the JFCS program are a very special way to explain and preserve the life of a community, and they also provide a special bridge between generations when a story is told effectively through words, music, and pictures.”

Take This Journey and Professional Podcasts are working together on a third documentary video project, for the Jewish Community Foundation, honoring philanthropic women in the community.

U.S. Citizen, NJ Resident Lost in Honduran Waters, Family Seeks Assistance to Finance Search

May 13, 2009 – Joseph Dunsavage, Sr., (photo below) has been missing in the waters off Roatan, Honduras since Sunday, May 10.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

He was last seen in a 9.5” x 5.5” white catamaran with a blue bimini top (photo below). He was fishing 200 yards from the beach when he is believed to have experienced engine trouble and begun drifting southwest toward Belize or the Honduran mainland.

Due to the limited resources being provided by the Honduran and U.S. governments, the Dunsavage family has mounted their own search and rescue effort using privately financed aircraft and watercraft. They are coordinating closely with the military to ensure that all resources are being effectively deployed.

In a bizarre twist, the search efforts for Joe Dunsavage actually located another soul who was adrift for 11 days in a similar sized boat, which means there is a lot of renewed optimism and we will not stop the search.

Some 20 finalists in the New Jersey State Youth of the Year competition, sponsored by Walmart with the Boys & Girls Clubs, visited Walmart Store #3266 in East Windsor, NJ on May 7, 2009, for a shopping spree that enabled them to buy professional attire for their personal interviews and oral presentations in the state-level competition later this month. Each of the young people received a $1,500 scholarship from Walmart and a $100 gift card for the shopping spree. The state winner will earn an additional $20,000 in scholarship money and the chance to compete in the Regional Youth of the Year contest, leading to the national competition later this year. In this video news wrapper, Steve Lubetkin speaks with two of the finalists and with Connie Ludwin, NJ State Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs.
