WHAT: The Guinness Book of World Records™ Dreidel Challenge. Members and friends of Temple Emanuel, the largest Reform synagogue in New Jersey, will attempt to break the world’s record for the largest number of dreidels set spinning at the same time. . (The current record is 535 dreidels, held by University of Maryland Hillel.)

The event should provide a visually exciting holiday season story for both still and video photo essays. The dreidel is the multi-sided top spun by Jewish children at Hanukkah. Each side of the top is decorated with a different Hebrew letter, collectively representing the phrase "A Great Miracle Happened There."

WHO: The event is open to everybody - congregants and non-congregants.

WHEN: Sunday, December 18, registration at 12:30 p.m., event begins at 1 p.m.

WHERE: Temple Emanuel, 1101 Springdale Road (corner of Kresson Road, opposite the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey).
