PRINCETON, NJ – March 14, 2007 -- Dr. Charles Plosser, appointed last August as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, and Earl McVicker, chairman of the American Bankers Association, will be the keynote speakers at the 103rd annual conference of the New Jersey Bankers Association taking place March 22-24 in Palm Beach, Florida. More than 200 leading New Jersey bank executives will attend the conference.

Regulatory Case Study
Working in small groups with a regulatory facilitator, participants will review an examination report that includes issues related to commercial real estate lending and the allowance for loan and lease losses. Participants will assume the role of examiners and will assign a CAMELS rating to the institution and determine if an enforcement action would be warranted. The debrief will include a discussion of what the regulators would have done in a similar situation.
