Senior Fellow of the Society for New Communications Research

CHERRY HILL, NJ, January 29, 2008 - Steve Lubetkin, the managing partner of Professional Podcasts LLC, one of the leading producers of audio and video programs distributed over the Internet, has been named a 2008 Senior Fellow of the Society for New Communications Research (http://www.sncr.org). Lubetkin, 51, joins the Society's existing group of business leaders, scholars, professional communicators, members of the media, futurists and technologists from around the globe. The Society's Fellows collaborate on original research and educational programs focused on the advanced study of emerging trends and developments in media and communications, and their effect on business, professional communications, media and society.

During 2008, Lubetkin will focus on research into the use of social media technologies by companies in the financial services industry, and will will be a featured speaker/instructors at the SNCR's upcoming New Communications Forum (http://www.newcommforum.com), which will be held April 22-25, 2008 in Sonoma County, Calif, where he will also live-blog and produce podcast reports from the seminar.

"For more than 30 years, I've explored and leveraged the use of advanced technologies in the delivery of news content as a journalist, and then corporate communications content as a public relations counselor," Lubetkin said. "It's an incredible honor to be recognized by the Society as a Senior Fellow and to have the opportunity to continue pursuing ways that communications technologies like podcasts can be harnessed to increase the overall connectedness of our world."

"We are delighted that Steve Lubetkin has joined the Society for New Communications Research as a Senior Fellow to lend us his expertise, and are confident we will benefit greatly as a result of Steve's participation," stated Jen McClure, executive director of the Society for New Communications Research.
