“For some time, our clients have expressed increasing interest in adding video podcast programs to their podcasting initiatives, to support their strategies of delivering their thought leadership, commentaries and expertise over the Internet,” Lubetkin said. “Digital videography adds a new dimension to podcasting by allowing audiences to experience an event or a conversation more fully. We are pleased to be able to offer this value-added advance to our technology services.”
Professional Podcasts’ in-house digital video production capabilities now include two professional quality Sony miniDV digital video cameras and associated location production equipment. Video podcasts will be edited using Sony non-linear video editing software and can be delivered over the Internet in a wide range of video formats, depending on client requirements. Professional Podcasts can also provide clients with DVDs for delivery to their audiences.
Professional Podcasts collaborates closely with clients to design podcast productions, including scripting, on-air talent, post-production editing, and all the arrangements necessary to make podcasts available through various podcast directories on the Internet, including the popular Apple iTunes Music Store (www.itunes.com).
Professional Podcasts already uses broadcast quality digital audio equipment to produce its podcasts, including an 11-part podcast series just completed at the GraphExpo printing industry conference in
Visitors to an organization’s website can download podcast programs for review on their desktop computers, or synchronize them with a portable digital media device. Software programs called “feed readers” or “podcatchers” allow users to “subscribe” to podcasts at no cost, and receive new programs in a podcast series automatically.
