CHERRY HILL, NJ – October 1, 2007Amboy National Bank, a 119-year old commercial bank headquartered in Old Bridge, Middlesex County, NJ, is reaching out to Internet audiences with a podcast, an audio program distributed over the Internet, to describe the features of the bank’s locally designed reverse mortgage product for senior citizens.

Professional Podcasts produced the program, which includes an interview with Bud Addis, a retiree and Amboy reverse mortgage customer, who describes how the product has provided additional income for living expenses such as insurance and healthcare. The program also features a conversation with Jackie D’Alessandro, an Amboy Bank reverse mortgage counselor.

“We believe our reverse mortgage product has distinct advantages for senior citizens in Central New Jersey compared with products offered by our competitors that can have high closing costs,” said Dennis Kane, Amboy Bank’s director of marketing. “Amboy Bank’s reverse mortgage product does not follow the government model used in reverse mortgage products at other banks, and generally offers customers substantially lower closing costs. Producing this podcast program gives us an opportunity to let one of our satisfied customers speak in detail about the Amboy Bank reverse mortgage in a medium that’s accessible 24 hours a day worldwide.”

“This podcast offers an excellent example of how companies can extend their marketing outreach to the Internet’s 24-hour availability,” said Steve Lubetkin, Managing Partner of Professional Podcasts. “Because senior citizens sometimes enlist younger family members to help with financial decisions like reverse mortgages, the bank decided to expand its outreach into social media like podcasts that younger audiences download to portable devices. In addition, many senior citizens use computers and the Internet to research financial planning and other topics, and they often find it more convenient to do their research after business hours. Having this feature program available for playback at all hours expands Amboy’s ability to help customers understand the product at a time convenient for the customers.”

“Podcasts” are recorded audio and video programs delivered via the Internet to audiences that can either download the files to Apple iPods or other digital audio devices, or view them directly from websites. Podcast programs are free to listeners. The Amboy Bank podcast is available at the bank’s website, www.amboybank.com, via direct download at http://media.libsyn.com/media/lubetkin/ANB1.mp3, and through the Apple iTunes Music store at this link.

Professional Podcasts collaborates closely with clients to design podcast productions, including scripting, on-air talent, post-production editing, and all the arrangements necessary to make podcasts available through various podcast directories on the Internet, including the popular Apple iTunes Music Store (www.itunes.com).

Professional Podcasts uses broadcast quality digital audio and video equipment to produce its podcasts, including an 11-part podcast series just completed at the GraphExpo printing industry conference in Chicago for NAPL, the trade association for excellence in graphic communications management (www.napl.org).

Visitors to an organization’s website can download podcast programs for review on their desktop computers, or synchronize them with a portable digital media device. Software programs called “feed readers” or “podcatchers” allow users to “subscribe” to podcasts at no cost, and receive new programs in a podcast series automatically.
