CHERRY HILL, NJ – March 19, 2009 – Professional Podcasts LLC, the award-winning audio and video production subsidiary of Lubetkin Communications LLC, has produced the first online electronic learning (e-Learning) program for Philadelphia-based intellectual property law firm Woodcock Washburn.

The first program, accessible from Woodcock Washburn’s website (http://www.woodcock.com/publications/podcasts/brock/player.html), is an analysis by Woodcock Washburn associate Sean Brock of recent arguments before the before the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in the case of Tafas v. Dudas, [Civil Action: 1:07cv846 (JCC/TRJ]). The Tafas case is a legal dispute over how patent applications are reviewed and approved.

The multimedia program uses slides and synchronized audio commentary by Brock to describe the recent oral arguments in the Tafas proceedings, interspersed with actual recorded excerpts of the exchanges between legal counsel and the judges hearing the appeal. The direct URL for the Tafas presentation is http://www.woodcock.com/publications/podcasts/brock/player.html.

“The oral arguments in this particular stage of this long running case were very useful in illustrating the thinking of both the judges and the attorneys for the parties to the proceeding,” said Sean Brock. “Woodcock Washburn makes an exceptional effort to provide analysis and legal perspectives about emerging issues to our clients and attorneys with whom we collaborate. Being able to present this information through our website in an entertaining and informative multimedia presentation is extremely valuable and provides an efficient way to deliver e-learning content.”

Professional Podcasts uses a development tool called Articulate Rapid E-Learning Studio '09 to combine elements of visual presentations like Microsoft PowerPoint slides, videos, and audio narrations or commentaries, in a synchronized e-learning program delivered through client websites or on disk.

The programs, delivered in the popular Adobe Flash video format, appear on a web page in a theater-style format customized with each client’s logo and corporate color schemes. Presenters’ photos and bios are integrated into the presentation environment, which also includes handout materials, an interactive glossary, and audience participation materials such as quizzes and surveys.

Another example of an Articulate presentation is on Professional Podcasts’ website at http://www.professionalpodcasts.com/slideshows/socialmedia/player.html.

“Articulate’s robust toolset enables us to convert presentations, speeches, and training materials into dynamic, highly interactive, visually attractive e-learning courses, presentations, quizzes, and surveys for clients like Woodcock Washburn, who want to deliver their content and expertise to their audiences in an online format,” said Steven L. Lubetkin, managing partner of Professional Podcasts. “Articulate programs we create for Woodcock and other e-learning clients are an excellent complement to our production of broadcast quality audio and video content for delivery over the Internet as podcasts.”

Articulate-produced e-Learning modules can be hosted individually or through Learning Management Systems that keep track of participants’ progress through corporate training programs administered online. Programs can be designed in linear fashion or to permit students to revisit sections in a sequence of their choosing. Progress reports can be delivered automatically to training managers. The programs are compatible with the online learning industry’s Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) standards.

CHERRY HILL, NJ – March 9, 2009 – Cherry Hill-based Professional Podcasts LLC, the award-winning creator of audio and video podcasts (radio and TV shows distributed over the Internet) and other multimedia content, has added a professional broadcast teleprompter to its service offerings for clients.

Professional Podcasts’ new Ikan PT-2000 teleprompter permits clients to deliver prepared remarks for video recording, reading from a scrolling text display, while continuing to make eye contact with the video camera, according to Steve Lubetkin, managing partner of Professional Podcasts.

“Many video producers rely on posterboard or notecards to provide text cueing for clients,” said Lubetkin. “Those solutions are timeconsuming to prepare and difficult to read. Offering our clients a true broadcast quality teleprompter for cued delivery of speeches or other presentations on camera makes the finished presentation that much more polished.”

Clients using Professional Podcasts’ teleprompter service provide their remarks in an electronic text file or word processing document, and Professional Podcasts loads them into the teleprompter’s software. The scrolling speed and size of the text are both adjustable for the comfort and style of the speaker.

About Podcasting

Podcasts are digital audio or video recordings distributed using Internet technology. Visitors to an organization’s website can download podcast programs for review on their desktop computers, or synchronize them with a portable digital media device. Software programs called “feed readers” or “podcatchers” allow users to “subscribe” to podcasts at no cost, and receive new programs in a podcast series automatically.

Editors, News Directors Note: Steve Lubetkin is available to discuss how social media and podcasting technology can help organizations communicate effectively with their audiences. To arrange to speak with Steve, please call (856) 751-5491 or email steve@professionalpodcasts.com.
